# Luca

A Modern Italian in the heart of Clerkenwell.

Award-winning branding agency Everything In Between approached _**ditta**_ for the web build of Michelin-starred restaurant Luca — bringing Italian fine-dining into a new digital space.

## Brand New

Luca is the flagship restaurant of Smith & Willis, located in the heart of Clerkenwell — a modern Italian led by Executive Chef Robert Chambers.

### Strategy & planning

Luca's brand is rooted in unpretentious sophistication, and the website needed to reflect that same refined atmosphere.

Working in collaboration with Everything In Between, we intended to develop a web experience that was intentionally minimal, allowing the restaurant’s photography to lead the narrative while maintaining a sense of space, rhythm, and restraint throughout.

### Production & delivery

We built Luca’s new website using a headless Storyblok CMS and a modern tech stack, enabling an efficient editing workflow with strong SEO performance.

Alongside the main site, we refined the aesthetics of their Shopify store to ensure a consistent visual identity across platforms.

We also provided training and ongoing support, empowering the team to confidently manage and maintain their article content.

> After 8 years, re-designing the LUCA website was a significant undertaking. We wanted it to move from a booking page to a shop window — bringing our brand to life for casual observers and long time admirers alike.
>
> _**ditta**_ really understood what we were trying to achieve and were able to bridge the gap between design and build whilst taking all creative and commercial considerations on board.
>
> They are a pleasure to work with and are now an integral part of the Smith & Willis family.
